About UsConnect North Carolina is a subsidiary of Connected Nation and operates as a non-profit in the state of North Carolina. Connect North Carolina worked with broadband providers of all shapes and sizes in the state of North Carolina to create detailed maps of broadband coverage in order to accurately pinpoint remaining gaps in broadband availability in North Carolina. The future of broadband mapping and expansion in North Carolina will be conducted through the stimulus-funded State Broadband Data and Development Grant Program, of which the Rural Economic Development Center, Inc. and the e-NC Authority are designated entities.
